- Clean off the countertops
- Clean the sinks and toilets
- Open the blinds and let the sun in
- Dust everything. Don't forget the light fixtures.
- Oil the door hinges, wax the sliders
- Put away those unique decorating objects during the showings, as well
as personal photos and knick-knacks. Buyers need to feel like it can be
their house.
My Outside Curb Appeal
- Paint where needed
- Cut the grass, water the lawn
- Put all toys, bikes, etc. out of sight
- Flowers blooming look very nice
- Repair those eavestroughs
- Steps, walkway stones, shingles... fix them!
During My Showing
- Turn off the TV/radio
- Turn on the lights in dimly lit areas
- Try not to be there during showings, but if you must be there, let the
agent do his/her job. Stay out of their way... buyers like privacy.
